Incorrect export to PowerPoint XP bulleted text problem.

By creating a bulleted text in Open Office 1.1.0 Presentation, we were expected to see the exact same results after saved in Microsoft PowerPoint XP file format (.ppt). After performing the following procedures, the bullets inserted in Open Office will be placed in an incorrect location in PowerPoint. Such failure will course lots of inconvenience for users whom wish to create simple slides with bulleted text in Open Office Presentation and open in Power Point. Procedures 1: 1. Opened Open Office 1.1.0 Presentation; 2. Created an empty presentation; 3. Choose a blank slide; 4. Create a text box with text icon on the left side toolbar; 5. Typed This is a test in the text box; 6. Highlights the typed text 7. Select format -> numbering/bullets > select the first bullet template type 8. Go to: File -> Save as -> Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP (.ppt; .pps) file; 9. Save filename as Test.ppt; 10. Press save; 11. Close Open Office Presentation; 12. Open the Test.ppt with Microsoft PowerPoint XP; 13. Test Failed bullet was not properly displayed (The location of the bullet was incorrectly located) 14. Close presentation Procedures 2: 1. * This is not same issue as 22658!!! * This bug is about bulleted text created in Open Office and saved in PowerPoint Format that caused a display error! Since this is a completely different feature as 22658 (font style), I strongly request for a new evaluation about this bug, and please look at it in detail since This is a totally differnt bug as 22658! thank you!
Okay, I change the issue type to defect. That does not sound like a feature. Sorry for closing this as duplicate. But having the same attachments, the same structure and nearly the same text with issue numbers in direct neighbourhood I saw it as duplicate. We have this from time to time when OO does not accept the issues as fast as the users like it. Reassigned to Christian.
I export to powerpoint, and open the file on powerpoint XP. but I cannot find the different. Please explain. I will not be possible to continue this issue til 1 december. But I attach the screenshot at powerpoint XP. The developer or somebody else will look at it, but we need more info, what is not correct I change the description.

This are 2 issues. The first (Procedures 1) is afeature because we don't support 'Font Alignment' (Format/Font Alignment) The second (Procedures 2)is a bug. We can handle only one bug (or feature) per issue. Therefore please write a new issue for Procedures 2

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
Successfully replicated the bug on 9/19/2011 in Presentation 1.1.5
I think there might have been some confusion about what was reported. Configuration: Windows 7 running OOo-dev 3.4.0 OOO340m0 (Build 9583) 1. Create a presentation in OOo. Mine has one slide. 2. In the text box, click on the bulleted list icon 3. Type "test" and press <enter> In OpenOffice, I now see a bullet followed by "Test". The bullet is properly located. It is to the left of "Test" and vertically centered. 4. Save in PPT format 5. Open in PowerPoint. In PowerPoint, I see a bullet, followed by "Test". However, the bullet is now at the bottom of the character. It looks more like a period than a bullet. You can see this in the GIF attachment posted by uotomo00 ("PPt Screenshot). I think "Procedure 1" and "Procedure 2" are both reporting slight variations of the same problem -- "Procedure 2" merely demonstrates the misalignment of the bullet with a different bullet.
I would like to add some inputs regarding this bug that were observer at time to reproduce this bug using AOO Impress 4.1.2 available on the web and Office PowerPoint 2013. First that all that current title does not reflect the current bug because the problem is related to bullets position (bottom) are different than default (middle) on PowerPoint if the presentation was created on Impress and saved as ppt. Also we need to consider that if you add new bullets in the same slide the position is still incorrect only the position is fixed if bullets are added in a new slide. Finally since the main propose of Impress is creating presentations and having bullet points is most used for end user. So if the bullets points are in a non-expected position when it is opened in PowerPoint then it could lose confidence on the end user because the end user will spend a lot of time trying to fix this problem (bullets points displayed in the default location). Also considering that other point is that bullet point remains in the default location when the scenario is opposite (creates bullet points in PowerPoint and opens the presentation using Impress) Requirements: AOO Impress 4.1.2 installed over a Windows 10 x64 Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2013 installed over Widows 10 x64 Steps: 1. Open Impress and created a new presentation 2. Add at least one statement with bullets points (more than one is recommended) 3. Create other slide and then add some statements with different bullet than used on previous slide. 4. Save the presentation as PowerPoint extension (.ppt) 5. Close the presentation 6. Open the presentation using PowerPoint 7. Review the bullets over the slides Actual Result Bullets added in the slides are displayed in different position; those are in the bottom section Expected Result Bullets added in the slides should be in the default position; those should be in the middle section Suggested follow-up test • Create a presentation with bullets and save as pptx using PowerPoint and then open it on Impress. Please consider that for this scenario the bullets are displayed in the up section, so probably it should be consider as a variation of this bug • Create a presentation with bullets and save as ppt using PowerPoint and then open it on Impress • Create a presentation with bullets and save as each extension available on Impress and then open it on PowerPoint • Create a presentation with bullets and save as each extension available on PowerPoint and then open it on Impress • Create a presentation with other type of bullets, for example Numbering and Graphics and then open it on PowerPoint.
