Why isn't it possible to save a text document into a specified chosen file
instead of always going to c:/my documents. I would like to save my text
documents into D:/my documents as I have partitioned my hard disk ionto c et d.
Is it possible?

Try going to Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Paths and setting the
document file to the proper place.  Unfortunately, OOo 1.1.0 has an
error in that it opens the last location instead of the default location.
