Description memyselfi 2003-10-17 21:15:43 UTC
When filtering text, a "contain" and a "does not contain" option would come in
handy. The current operators (>, <, =, etc) is only useful when the data being
filtered consists of predetermined flags.

e.g. filter all names that contain the letters certain letters like "don". This
will extract Donald, McDonald, Madonna, Caledonia, etc.

Been fiddling with the program and noticed in the help menu that OOo
does have this. However, this feature does not work. There's no way
of entering the criterion in the search fields.

Is this feature incomplete?

Hi,

this feature is implemented. Use regular expresssions for it. Have a
look under More in the Standard filter dialog.
