Description aspsaegesser 2003-10-07 13:48:25 UTC
The longer the more I get fed up with the way objects are moved. If for example
you have a 5mm or less square (or circle or whatever) you nearly go off the
rails before you can catch the object for moving. It all the time wants to be
resized instead of moved.
Even if you have much larger objects, it's comparably hard to catch them. Other
tools do not have these problems (they have others).
Perhaps someone could have a look at this.

Thanks

Walter

This certainly is still true and as big a nuisance as ever. Please do fix that.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

I replicated the issue on Mac OSX version 10.11.6 on OpenOffice version 4.3.1.
Steps:
- Inserted a rectangle onto the screen.
- made the size small as aspaegesser mentioned as issues seems to persist as you don't get the option to drag and change position of the rectangle.
- Even if you hover the mouse over the shape you can't seem to get the option to drag.
- This issue seems to persist across OpenOffice and is not generic to Draw.

In MS-Powerpoint though with the same size rectangle as done for the OpenOffice Draw, you simply click on the rectangle and put the cursor over it and you get an option to drag it and change position. Improving this functionality will improve OpenOffice a lot better.
