Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2057
hide hidden files
Last modified: 2004-10-15 04:10:14 UTC
This is an issue with the file browser (or, "open/save dialog box", whatever you want to call it) and affects at least Linux and maybe all other UNIX-like systems. Hidden files and folders (e.g., ones beginning with a dot) should not be displayed by default. A preferences setting or a button in the file browser could be used to display hidden files.
Reassigned to Thorsten.
This feature should be implemented in our file-open dialog to match the reqirements of all UNIX users.
This issue is re-assigned to Christian Jansen for further evluation.
INCJ (Im Not Christian Jansen:)
The current version (641x) hides these kind of files by default. It is possible to open hidden files by entering the file name in the URL field of the file open/save dialogue.
