Description mitsu 2001-10-25 00:37:27 UTC
The default behavior of file dialogs in Windows now is to display a list of
files matching the partial filename that you've typed into the file dialog.
This is an extremely useful behavior that I think many Windows users have come
to rely upon (including me). It's particularly nice that almost every Windows
applicaton supports it because it's just part of the standard file dialog. But
StarOffice/OpenOffice does not support this functionality at present in the
Windows version. I would like to ask that OpenOffice use the default behavior
for the file dialog and support this feature in Windows. Thanks...

If I got it right, this is OK in 641, although slightly different from SO5.2 behavior.

This issue has already been fixed to an internal 641j. Due to the fact, that upcoming OO-versions will be
based on a 641, this problem won`t occur in the next OO-version anymore.
