Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18376
"Help" list does not include $ as regular expression symbol for EOL
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
Regular expression searches allow the use of '$' as a symbol for end of line (carraige or hard return). However this is not included in the list of regular expressions found when user clicks "Help" button in "Find" dialog. That list, found as a link entitled "List of Regular Expressions" in Help > Find and Replace (sub) Regular Expressions, includes ^$ as empty paragraph but not $ as stand-alone end of line symbol. It would be useful if it were added to the list. Note that this information is found in another Help file, found in "regular expressions; searching (guide)" searched via the Index.
Confirmed -- but is word processor correct component? Tam
Both Writer and Calc link to the errant "List of Regular Expressions." Impress and Draw do not.
HI->UFI: The hard line brake should be also mentioned.
$ will be addded to the list soon
The same help should appear for both locations. See issue 18379 for suggested text.
