Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18057
Print scaled (25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300% and custom scale.)
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:27 UTC
Macintosh has provided a scaling factor (25-400%) for printing in Page Setup dialog boxes since 1986. This is a desirable feature for OOo. I need it for an MS Word 97 document I routinely edit at double size, then print at 50%. I'd be happy to provide a screen shot, but can't find a way to through this web interface.
Created attachment 8358 [details] Screen shot of Mac Page Setup dialog with scaling factor
moving to component gsl
pl->lho: This could probably be done by modifying the print dialogue and building in support into VCL. I think the effort would stay within reasonable limits.
this feature would be nice for all platforms, so I set the fields to ALL, setting status to new and target-milestone "not determined"

OK, here my request to be able to print at 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300% and custom scale. I believe many people will find it useful. I hope we can set the target
is there any news about this ? maybe a target please. Thanks
I have switched to excluvsively using the Macintosh-native Java/Aqua implementation of OpenOffice, NeoOffice/J (no X11, no dylibs, etc.!), which uses the Mac's native fonts and printing...which of course already includes this capability. Consequently, I'm no longer personally concerned with whether print scaling is built into OOo, although I would think users on other platforms might appreciate it. In fact, I can't believe that it isn't a built-in feature of the other operating systems' printing architecture!
Bettina, please can you take care of this feature request in the same way as with other RFEs too? I changed the target to OOo Later, as it is certainly too late for OOo 2.0, and I would like to have a better effort estimation first.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
