This issue pertains to opening a file in OpenOffice Writer. 
The program automatically loads an unnamed file. If I want to load another 
file, it opens the word-processor again in another window (this appears on the 
taskbar) and opens the file there; or, at least, that is how it appears. Is 
this deliberate? I think it would be better (and perhaps quicker) if the files 
opened as windows inside the program, to be accessed at will from the Window... 
menu.

Affects all applications => Changed from "word processor" to "framework"

Due to the fact, that thiss is a wish for a change in a feature, it is your turn to have a look at this 
issue.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
