Description Unknown 2003-07-08 22:04:49 UTC
Sanskrit99 is a True Type font developed in India for the Devanagiri script
used in Hindi. Marathi two languages spoken by zillions and is derived from
Sanskrit that is zillions of years old.

This cannot be pasted sensibly in the Word Processor. You can in Microsoft
Office 97 - MS Word any edition - Why - seems to be something wrong with font
displays. Does this happen with that, or arabic?

best wishes

Hi reporter,

thank you for using and supporting OOo.

Does this problem still exist in OOo 1.0.3 or what ever the latest
build available for your language might be)?

If it does, please attach an OOo-document that reproduces this problem
_here_in_the_issue_ with a simple step by step instruction how to
reproduce the problem. This instruction might look similar like the
following example:

0. unpack ma att. "xxxx.zip"
1. open something.sxw
2. open somehing.sxc
3. mark (A1:C5) in something.sxc
4. <CNTRL-C>
5. goto somehing.sxw
6. place cursor after word "anyword"
7. Edit/InputSpecial/DDE-link
   expected result: something .......
   actual result: something other ......

Please also supply a possibility where we can get the fontset!

Please give a hint concerning your platform!

Hi,

I'm sorry but I do not understand all those explications. Do you agree
with my following steps to reproduce the bug?

Correct view with WORD
0. Install sanskrit fonstset on PC
1. Open "cut paste from itrans into ms word.doc" with WORD 2000
2. mark first paragraph "CORRECT DISPLAY ..... INSTALLED ON COMPUTER"
3. change font for marked test area to "sanskrit99"
expected: paragraph should look like screenshot "withword.png"
   actual on your PC: look!

Incorrect view with OOo
11. Open "cut paste from itrans into ms word.doc" with OOo1.1Beta2
12. mark first paragraph "CORRECT DISPLAY ..... INSTALLED ON COMPUTER"
13. change font for marked test area to "sanskrit99"
expected: paragraph should look like screenshot "withword.png"
   actual: looks like screenshot "withooo.png"
           that is not "sanskrit99"

Reporter, can you agree:
- screenshot "withword.png" shows a correct result"
- screenshot "withooo.png" shows the unexpected result with OOo"

If yes, the problem hasn't to do anything with cut and paste, summary
must be "OOo does not show font "sanscrit99" correctly.
