I cann´t find my epson lx-300 printer in the openoffice.org driver list and if 
I select generic driver
when I try to print, the page is ejected and nothing is printed,
this problem is only with openoffice.org, The help and other info from the 
os is printed fine.

Can you confirm that this still happens with a recent version of OOo11rcX?

no answer and furthermore OOo 2.0 will get the configuration from cups directly...
