Using the 3D drawing tools to draw an object and then dragging the object to a 
new location makes the drawing tool almost unusable.  Ghosting of images is a 
huge problem and images that had been deleted a long time before start to 
reappear in part or in whole.

This is a major error

Please try to switch off OpenGL: uncheck
Tools/options/Openoffice.org/View/3Dview/Use OpenGL. If the error does
not occur anymore than it is the fault of a badly programmed OpenGL
driver od the graphic card. Changing the driver might help.

That is correct.  With OpenGL turned off, the issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, I'm using the standard ATI OpenGL drivers.  I hope they
fix the issue.
