Description sohm 2003-05-24 12:56:07 UTC
The option "Rehearse Timing" exists and permits to know the time per slide

It would a good feature to export the data concerning the times of the
presentation (maybe in the sxw format)

For example,
Slide 1: 00:02:00
slide 2: 00:03:15
Slide 3: 00:04:00

Total : 00:09:15
Comment 1 sohm 2003-05-24 13:10:51 UTC
It is also possible to display those informations at the last page

This feature is still unavaible under the following configuration.

OOo-dev 3.2.0 DEV300m49 (Build 9403), Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (32 Bit/PC)
JavaRE 6u13.

Steps I followed;

1) Create a presentation with three (3) slides with some sample text on them.
2) From the "Slide Show" drop down menu select "Rehearse Timings"
NB: At this point the the presentation enters slide show mode, but with a
rectangular-shaped timer at the bottom left that reads in HH:MM:SS
       format.
3) Let the timer run for about six (6) seconds
4) Repeat this for the two remaining slides
5) The next screen would be black with white text at top left that reads
   "Click to exit presentation."
NB: There is no summary of the time you took for each slide on this screen
as "sohm" suggested or an option to export this information to a file.

I would be attaching the presentation that I used for this shortly.

I feel adding this feature would be important since instead of the users always
writing down the time per slide during rehearsal before advancing to the next
slide. They can have a neat and accurate summery at the end or a little *.txt
file with all the information stored in it. This information is also useful if a
presentation that was initially made in OOo Impress was moved over to
Powerpoint. During the slide show setup within Powerpoint the time per slide
which is in a file made from OOo Impress can be input into a the presentation
so that the slide show can run automatically without the user worrying about timing.
