There is no way for german-speaking users to report a bug IN GERMAN. 
Although ther is a relatively large number of users the OO Programmers semm NOT 
to be interested in collecting their experiences. 
(or what would YOU think if I would report e.g. the following in english: 

"Every time I write Space - Bindestrich - Space the Bindestrich Character ist 
exchanged into a Halbgeviertstrich. at least it should be. 
Because this automatic exchange works NOT if the last Character before was 
either a period or a Anführungszeichen..."

And remember, that your english "Quote" character is a DIFFERENT character than 
the "Anführungszeichen oben" in the german version!

So once more my question: 
How can I - a GERMAN writer and IT journalist, using the GERMAN version of 
OpenOffice Writer to write articles in GERMAN language for Austrian (GERMAN 
speaking) IT Magazines - report the bugs I found in OO to you IN GERMAN ???

Schreib doch einfach auf deutsch!  Einige von uns kann ja
wenigstens deutsch lesen... oder muss auch
das Fehlermeldeformular auf deutsch gescrieben sein?

[Just write in German!  A few of us can at least read it, after all...
or does the bug report form have to be written in German, too? ]

Joost->Adolf: die Ersetzungslisten findest Du unter Menüeintrag
/Extras/Autokorrektur... (Tabreiter Optionen). Dort kannst Du auch
definieren, wie der Bindestrich behandelt wird. Im selben Dialog kann
auch die Benutzung von typographischen Anführungszeichen definiert werden.
Da OpenOffice.org ein internationales Projekt ist, hat man sich darauf
geeinigt, daß die englische Sprache als Kommunikationsform Verwendung
findet. Wie Du siehst, ist es durchaus möglich, in deutscher Sprache
zu kommunizieren. In Deinem speziellen Fall hätte ich jedoch zuerst im
deutschsprachigen Forum (Mailingliste) von OpenOffice.org nachgefragt.
Dort hätte man Dir diese Information sicherlich geben können.
