Description Unknown 2001-08-09 06:10:49 UTC
To simulate:

1. Run OO in Win95 Chinese with the latest patch from MS and IE5.5 installed.
2. Select a Chinese IME
3. Enter some Chinese characters.
4. The characters appear as garbage.

It seems the Unicode mapping not working in 95 for CJK characters.

DL->TH: Please take over.
Comment 2 Unknown 2001-08-17 15:18:56 UTC
TH:
When someone have time and fun, extend
vcl/win/source/window/salframe.cxx to support IME's without Unicode
support. Perhaps a solution would be to convert only WM_IME_CHAR
messages and disable on spot input.

reopen to reassign

Herbert,

This is a leftover from Thomas Hosemann (issue had status resolved/later and
thus was missed by most queries), probably superfluent by now, as this is
related to Win95. Please check and close if appropriate.

Thanks
Eike

SSA claims the feature has been integrated into OOo 1.0, so the status is
