When trying to save a file previously made buy OO-1.0.2, it crashes with a
unrecoverable error. When saving as a word 95 doc it does not crash.
Distribution:Gentoo.
strace will be attached.

Please submit the file you were trying to save,
or instructions on how to repeat the crash from
scratch.  The strace doesn't help us as much as
being able to reproduce the crash.
Also, please try OpenOffice1.1beta, and see if it fixes the crash.

to attach a file that consistently reproduces this issue.
