Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12876
keybindings are NOT correctly reported (in case that there is NO keybinding)
Last modified: 2003-04-01 11:42:44 UTC
OVERVIEW DESCRIPTION : Using gnome-2.2 stack from 27 of March, java-access-bridge from today's CVS HEAD, java 2 sdk 1.4.1_01 and StarOffice from 27 February, I found out that StarOffice is NOT reporting correctly the keybindings if there is NO keybinding. STEPS TO REPRODUCE : - launch StarOffice - launch at-poke and poke the "Bold" toggle button from "Text Object Bar" (OR any other child of "Text Object Bar") ACTUAL RESULTS: You will notice that the keybindings for the "Bold" button is reported as "[ ", even if there is no binding for it. This behaviour can be observed for each child of the "Text Object Bar". EXPECTED RESULTS: I would expect the same behaviour as in other gnome application : nothing to be reported. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Screenshot that proves the information that is provided by gedit and StarOffice when there is no keybinding available.

Adi, this problem is known to me. I've already logged a task against the JABG. At controls that have no keybindings JABG has to reject the delimiter and placeholder. See also: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108212
Furthermore there was a fix within StarOffice that also recects reporting the brackets at controls without keybindings. Unfortunately this fix didn't make it into Beta1. In current builds problem does not occure anymore.
