Description Martin 2024-01-23 06:52:01 UTC
Created attachment 87214 [details]
screenshot with highlights

clicking the download link from a 4.1.14 installation appearantly links to the 13th version :

https://www.openoffice.org/nl/downloaden.html?utm_source=AOO4_1_13_nl&utm_medium=Client&utm_campaign=Upgrade

that page show comments about downloadoading the 4_1_6 version which (luckily) links to the current 4_1_15 version.

some editing needs to be done.
Comment 1 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-23 10:53:20 UTC
The first part (URL) is a small glitch in out 4.1.14 code where we forgot to update the path to the update feed.

That mistake cannot be changed anymore so it would be "WON'T FIX" (or better "CAN'T FIX")

Second part: I am not sure if we should keep the page as apparently it is forgotten to be updated for a long time. It would be better to redirect to the download page directly.

To be clear, you click on the link inside AOO 4.1.4 (NL) where the update is announced?
Comment 2 Dick Groskamp 2024-01-23 10:56:10 UTC
I updated the page to current release.

I'll try to keep a look on it. :-)
Comment 3 Dick Groskamp 2024-01-23 10:58:35 UTC
Marked as Resolved as to comment from Matthias.
Also wording on the page is updated to current version.

Issue can be closed
Comment 4 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-23 11:00:44 UTC
Hi Dick,

Thanks! But let's wait until the page is published...

I think I will modify the update feeds so they redirect to the Dutch download page.
That will be default in the future version.
Comment 5 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-23 11:35:21 UTC
@Martin:
Thank you for finding this! The webpage should be updated now:
http://www.openoffice.org/nl/downloaden.html

@Dick:
I changed the data for our update feeds, in future releases we will link to the download page directly:
https://www.openoffice.org/nl/download/
Comment 6 Dick Groskamp 2024-01-23 11:46:04 UTC
@Matthias:

"I changed the data for our update feeds, in future releases we will link to the download page directly:"

OK, good idea. Thanks
Comment 7 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-23 11:49:21 UTC
I still think we need to update that page, since there might be a lot of links in www that point to it.

Or we can create an automatic redirection for it...
Comment 8 Dick Groskamp 2024-01-23 12:13:35 UTC
Well, it is from the quiet outdated early website.

I also think an automatic redirect to nl/download might do the trick
Comment 9 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-23 13:08:33 UTC
Redirection is now in place:
https://github.com/apache/openoffice-org/blob/main/content/nl/downloaden.html

You might want to translate the little English text, before I publish it. But normally that should not be visible.
Comment 10 Martin 2024-01-23 13:13:51 UTC
fix confirmed.
lightning speed!!
Comment 11 Dick Groskamp 2024-01-24 14:15:30 UTC
@Matthias

Translated the small text.
( They were working on our electricity-net.
  Just came back online. :-) )
Comment 12 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-25 18:32:56 UTC
@Dick:
Thanks! Will be visible after publishing.

And it was definitely code involved, even if it was HTML... ;-)
Comment 13 Marcus 2024-01-25 20:31:13 UTC
@Matthias:
I remember that we agreed to use "FIXED" only for fixes in the AOO software. Other fixes should be resolved with "FIXED_WITHOUT_CODE". That's the reason for the change. ;-)
Comment 14 Matthias Seidel 2024-01-25 22:31:09 UTC
No problem, I was just kidding! ;-)
