Letter

The document edited with OpenOffice does not open using Microsoft Office 2007 it is considered as a corrupt document.

Is this an issue that has been fixed by superseded versions of the software?

Opens with AOo 4.1.14 without a problem.

I can read the file without a problem

Did not quiet read your message. Misinterpreted, sorry.

However, AOOo should not be able to save in xlsx ( at least not without causing problems).

So it is probably correct that you can't open it in Word without problems.

Try saving in .doc or .odt format. That could probably fix the problem.

OpenOffice cannot export to docx.

This file is in fact an ODT, renamed to docx.

Rename it back to ODT and you should be able to open it in MS Office 2007. At least with MS Office 2016 it worked.
