ODT file demonstrating problem

ENVIRONMENT

* MacOS Ventura 13.4
* OpenOffice 4.1.13 (Writer and Calc)

TO REPRODUCE

* Select text in any document
* Set Background Color to "Light Magenta"
* Set Font Color to "Light Cyan"

RESULT

* a thin white border appears on the bottom edge of each character, and a thin blue border appears on the top edge of each character.

NOTES

* Not exclusive to Background Color. E.g., also reproducible with Page Background.
* Not exclusive to Font. Reproduced with Times New Roman and Arial.
* Not exclusive to Font Size. Reproduced with 12pt and 96pt.
* Not exclusive to colors, but does seem to depend on the relationship between the colors. No pattern found.
* "Shadow" colors are not always black and white, but lighter and darker, depending on the specific background and foreground colors.
* Short of testing, reasonably certain this problem has existed since at least OpenOffice 3.X.

I don't see any issue with Windows 10 and AOO 4.1.14

Please show with more details what we should see

The more I stare at it, the less certain I am that it's not just an optical illusion. The problem is clearly evident once the material is printed, but I can't be sure it's not a PDF- or printer-related issue.

Will close unless I find something more concrete clearly within OO.
