test file for showing slow saving and scrolling

I have been writing 15 books about medicine.

Saving an odt file of just 110kB takes several minutes. Pictures are external and therefore need not to be saved in the odt file.

Scrolling the 1010 page document cosumes extremely much time.

System is Win 7pro 64bit Intel Duo 2.53GHz 4GB RAM.

Which alternative (Hardware/Software) would you recommend to use?

test picture to be put in folder Bilder for testing together with odt file.

the test picture of 4 MB size I could not upload because of restriction. I therefore reduced to 975kB.

its not unusual at all for pictures having more than 1 MB. Just have a look at digital photos. Its also not at all unusual having several photos in a book. If those photos are external they do not have to be saved each time with the document. So why is this problem there?

to test you could make the png file bigger again by using a picture tool.

For large document, use master document.
For huge picture, use PixCompress:
