I am using AOO 4.10.1 for Windows. Just now when I wanted to edit a template I selected File > Templates > Edit..., but instead of opening the template folder it opened the folder I last used.

Confirmed with the following Configuration:

Windows 10
Microsoft Windows
Version 21H1 (OS Build19043.1052)

Apache OpenOffice
AOO4110m2(Build:9807)  -  Rev. b1cdbd2c1b

There is a workaround available using the following steps.

1: On the Start Center click Templates
2: Click Folder the template resides in
3: Select the template to edit
4: click the edit button lower left of dialogue box

Confirmed on Windows 7 (64-bit).

Problem already reported
as Issue 121246 - "File-Template-Edit not doing what is suppose to do".
The workaround given therein: use OpenOffice dialogs.
