Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 128362
Calc crashes with or without bad allocation error. Occasionally SEH errors
Last modified: 2020-04-28 22:59:54 UTC
This has been a on-going issue since 4.1.4. After about 50 entries the program hangs when saving. Sometimes it hangs before saving or I get a Bad Allocation error about half way through a save. Rarely I get an SEH error. Windows says illegal operation in the task manager. The recovery goes well but no access to error report tool. The problem gets a little better after I increased the memory in calc. Use to crash after 10 entries! Several machines and several version of windows have been tried with clean installs. I have no idea how to track this problem. Please help!

Your Document does not look very complicated. If user report crashes, often the profile is corrupted. A workaround fix is described on the forum at [1]. We are already on the investigation of corrupted profiles for a permanent fix. I am with Markus on this one. Your Issue is an issue specific to your system. Please use the resources Provided by Comment 4 to get further help. I close the Issue again as a not an OOO Issue again as a sign that we delegate this to user support channels.
