Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 128268
Keyboard entry of CTRL+SHIFT+0 does not unhide columns
Last modified: 2020-01-25 13:32:45 UTC
When hiding and showing columns and rows in Calc, the keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+0 does not function to show hidden columns. Selecting FORMAT/Column/Show from the drop down menu shows the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+0, so the shortcut being used is correct. If the function is selected from the drop-down menu it works, but not if typed on the keyboard. CTRL+SHIFT+9 works correctly if typed from the keyboard to show rows.

Where did you read that this shortcut worked? If you want it, you must customize this. Read: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Calc_Guide/Keyboard_Shortcuts Next time, for this kind of question, use our forum or mailing list: http://www.openoffice.org/support/index.html
Did you not read the bug report properly? I have customised the keyboard shortcut so that it works the same way as Excel. In Excel you can use CTRL+0 to hide columns and CTRL+SHIFT+0 to show them again. You type 9 instead of 0 for the same operations with rows. When you have customised these keyboard shortcuts, the shortcut appears alongside the command in the drop-down menu, which indicates that the shortcut has been applied correctly to the command. After applying the customised shortcuts, CTRL+0 works to hide the column, but CTRL+SHIFT+0 does not show the column. CTRL+9 and CTRL+SHIFT+9 work correctly to hide and show rows. Therefore there is a BUG which is causing the applied shortcut not to work with the show columns command. I trust that you now understand the problem?
Now resolved by trial and error. Thanks for all the "help".
