Description lakestephens 2019-04-27 20:04:49 UTC
The program is freezing when I try to close, even when the document or documents that are open have been saved before I try to close.

This behavior is not typical and AOO works fine with Win10 all editions.

First, try to reset the user profile:

Report back the outcome here.

No news from OP

Your suggested fix referenced data from over 10 years ago. Windows 10 is not listed among supported operating systems in this fix. Suspect tech was neither interested nor doing sufficient research.

What did you talking about? In the suggested thread, it mentionned "from Vista". So, Windows 10 is clearly after it.
Comment 5 lakestephens 2019-05-07 05:06:38 UTC
Yes, Windows 10 is after it. And the thread was written in 2008. The directory structure given is no longer valid. In other words, when I go into the User directory in Windows 10, it does NOT look like what they say should be there. Because they weren't clairvoyant. They could NOT predict the structure that wouldn't be created for 11 years.

copy paste %appdata%\OpenOffice\4 into the explorer does not do the trick?
Comment 7 lakestephens 2019-05-07 05:18:04 UTC
Sorry. I did not see the instruction to perform that workaround. Perhaps you would be so kind as to point it out to me.

What do you mean?

it is in the 1st post. The rename post just repeats in for convenience for Windows 7 (3rd post) but 3rd post should also work for you.
