Description martin 2019-04-12 17:10:28 UTC
somewhere along the line, I must have used a second sign-in name. everytime, I open the app, there is an error message about closing a host, before proceeding. at this point, I don't know where to access the administrator rights to the OpenOffice product "without" signing-in. in other words, it seems, there are 2 separate admin names for the product.

There is no sign-in or registration functionality to install or use Apache OpenOffice (AOO). Therefore I doubt that you are using the original AOO.

Please make sure that you have downloaded from AOO here [1]. If not, the software is not from us and of course we cannot help you. Please ask then the software author.

Furthermore, this blog post could be helpful for you [2].

Thanks for your understanding.

The issue was older versions of Windows were asking about, outdated processes. I prompted the computer, to delete them and OpenOffice works: ok. Martin
