Description Dmitrii Nikishov 2018-12-02 07:00:33 UTC
To reproduce:
Use only mouse.
1. In the menu -> insert -> table -> column = 1 rows = 100;
2. Move mouse to left side of table to "Select Table Row" and highlight first row.
3. Click and move mouse down to highlight all available rows.

It is impossible to do because when mouse reach screen border highlighted rows start to jump and deselect itself.

Tested on few versions of Windows.

I've attempted this on Linux:

When trying to select all 100 rows it's going over from page 1 to 2. This is not going smoothly but there is no deselection. At the end I've selected all 100 rows.

If this is a problem then probably only on Windows.

Cannot Confie=rm with following configuration:

Intel (R) Pentium(R) CPU 4405U @2.10GHz, 2112MHz, 2(Core(s) 4 Logical Processors
Total Physical Memory 8.00 GB
Operating System: Windows 10 Home OS Build 10.0.17134.407 Version 1803
Apache Open Office:
AOO416m1(Build:9790) - Rev. 1844436

As in Marcus' reply above the scrolling is not smooth but it does not deselect any rows. During the uneven scrolling it may appear to deselect, but in the end it selects all 100 rows.

Since it cannot be confirmed on either Linux or Windows I am resolving it to irreproducible.

I can confirm this behavior.
Windows and Linux, all AOO Versions.

It also happens with fewer rows (and more columns) and has nothing to do with the fact that the spreadsheet goes over several pages.

Steps to reproduce:

Insert a Table with with e.g. 30 lines.
Make sure that only the top 20 lines are visible in the file window

The selection must be made so that the cursor is placed to the left of the line, so that the mouse pointer turns into a horizontal arrow. This allows all cells in a row to be selected at once.

To select the remaining lines, drag the cursor down the left side of the table with the mouse.

The moment the cursor moves beyond the lower edge of the window, the top line mark is cleared. The selection stucks at the visible 20 rows and begins to alternate bwtween selection and deselection. There is no scrolling to row 21 .. 30.
