Most likely you know this...but fyi  after my last 2 Microsoft updates, Open Office (in all it's apps, calc, writer, etc.  crashes.  Recovery works OK but one constantly gets crashes effecting overall unreliability. 

The 1st time, I uninstalled & reinstalled it, which seemed to do the trick. A couple of days ago I had to install the usual MS Update.  Then crashes started.

So I just uninstalled & re-installed the latest rev of Open Office.  Time will tell if that fixed my problem.

it's not closeable. 

Fix did not work.  It crashes as before.  My "workaround" is to do a lot of saving.

When I get a chance I'll re-do the whole thing,

To be clear: no we do not know that this is a common issue.

I assume you are on Windows 10, yes?
And I assume with fixes you mean is the reset of the profile, yes?
