In a text document I do Insert>Pictures>Scan>Request

The scanner interface appears and I accept the defaults.

"PreScan" shows the correct scanned image.

"Start" makes the scanner scan, but no image shows in the document.

Scanner is a Brother MFC-J480DW

Microsoft scan and fax works fine.

AOO is a 32-bit program, you must use a 32-bit driver for your scanner.
Check it!

I have no idea how to do that. Could you point me to some documentation or detail exactly how to do this?
