This is either a "Feature" or an "Enhancement" depending on perspective. I put it 
under enhancement since it is more a shortcut/time saver and builds upon the 
existing interface/open dialog box.

In the windows version, it would be nice if the dialog boxes concerned with the 
file system had a "desktop" button to take the user directly to the desktop, 
rather than just the "Up Directory" button, as in windows the desktop is a 
specific directory (DESKTOP) under WINDOWS, and I doubt most Windows users know 
how to find it. 

It would also be nice if this directory was a preference set to the default (or 
locked) for windows users but adjustable for users of operating systems without 
the concept.
