When you set custom shortcuts they will be lost when you shut down the program. 
Other custom settings get eventually lost, too.

When reporting defects, please be more precise.
A step-by-step description would leave no room for riddling and 
misunderstandings. 
Naming the settings that "eventually get lost" would help too.

A custom shortcut F2 - key for Insert Footnote Directly is always lost and 
changed back to the standard Insert Formula when you close the prog. Other 
custom get lost, too, the latter is just an example.
Changed standard format for Insert Table (standard width, borders ...) are also 
lost when the program is closed.
There is no way to define a standard apearance of the empty page shown at 
progam start, or made changes are also lost with closing  the program.
