Good morning After installing Aoo-4.1.0 using Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_fr.tar.gz in a Wheezy laptop with Linux ||||||_|||||||_: 3.14.4 #2 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 28 09:49:52 UTC 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux , i have many issues . and KDE-4.8.4 wm. I recognize that my install is not usual!! but with this install, openoffice 4.0.1 works!! My install is: with Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_fr.tar.gz i extract it somewhere in /home in --/RPMS i use rpm2cpio bash to install in /home/--/opt/ after using soffice in /program i start openoffice Issues: 1. Panel startup is in black background color 2. Formula module is not acessible 3. in calc background color in cells are not visible yet colors in properties (in right) are effective 4. others.. what is the big graphic change between 4.0.1 and 4.1.0 i tried to install some debian packets as libgail-dev and at-spi with no result. Have you some ideas please thank you

Are you using a dark desktop theme? If so, try unchecking "Tools" - "Options..." - "OpenOffice" - "Accessibility" - "Options for high contrast appearance" - "Automatically detect high contrast mode of operating system"

sorry but the problem is only with kde . Lxde openbox and other is ok and the problem continue with aoo-4.2.0 build as AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1614365 2014-08-04 10:01:00 (Mon, 04 Aug 2014) and for aoo4.2.0 sofware works well Lxde,openbox , fwm .. i think so it's not a problem with my "home" install repeat (all /home/path/opt ) and no desktop-integration ( /etc and /usr) ithought one moment it was library shared problem but i left it hum perhaps problem video driver and how kde works with it and gtk3 i forget to say i tried deb packet as qt4-dev but with no result ..after an configure and build..

This is because of your desktop theme with dark color scheme (and because OpenOffice high-contrast mode that sucks).

If you test 4.0.1 with your current dark desktop theme, it should show the same behavior that you are describing here for 4.1.0 May be check to have the same settings in Tools - Options... - OpenOffice - Accessibility - Options for high contrast appearance.
I tried unselecting option function for high contrast in OS ,it seems ok calc function again but at the expense of another function as formula (little window in right becomes unreadable!!) i try many themes in kde desktop especially deleting second dark color with no results so can you explain me why aoo-4.0.1 have no problems, unlike with aoo4.1.0 and 4.2.0? i'm sorry but if high contrast do not make same work with KDE since aoo-4.0.1 with the same machine, that this is a bug. there's no sufficient kde config when i want to build with configure. i do not know what's happens. I would try to help continuing to seek .
what has changed since aoo-4.0.1 only compilation , python -v .. and not my laptop and setting user.
