Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 12389
Fontsize is wrong when "Fit text to frame" is used
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:29:27 UTC
There are some problems with fontsize in OpenOffice. 1. When you add a Text with the button "Text" -> "Fit Text to Frame" and you just click onto the sheet, enter the text, click somewehere outside the box and try afterwards to resize the text with the box (so its size fits to the box' size) it doesn't work. 2. When you add a Text with the button "Text" -> "Fit Text to Frame" and you drag a bigger textbox than standard, the resizing works. But if you then try to change the textsize bei number (Mark the text -> Size) the number seems to be add to the actual value, not reset to normal. So it happens, that a "FitTextToFrame" text with size 20 is bigger than a "NormalText" with size 20. Benjamin
TM->SBA: Seems to be more a word-processor issue than a framework issue to me. Please have a look, thanks.
SBA->benjo: Please verify your findings in a newer version of OOo (currently 1.1 RC4 is available) and comment. Thank you. SBA->TM: Only the draw text boxes have this feature. Component changed component to "Drawing" and adjusted summary according to description. Reassigned to Christian. SBA->CGU: As discussed, please have a look.
set to new and change the target
I can reproduce both parts. I think part one is a bug. It doesn't matter if I click on the slide to get a textbox or if I raise a textbox the text should be fit to frame. The second part is not a bug. The text is 'Fit to frame' this means it ignores the text size. To get a text which show the correct size you must deselect 'Fit to frame' in 'Format/Text'.
