Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 123725
[Enhancement] Better defaults for database range dialog
Last modified: 2018-11-30 17:31:40 UTC
menu:Data>Define... [More Options] has 4 extra options. Only options 1 and 4 are meaningful. Options 2 and 3 should be set by default if we can't get rid of them. I use them since version 1 but never found any use case which required them to be off. Discussion, problem description and example document here: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=65861 [Solved]Dynamic chart - how to do it?
IMHO checked by default better than get rid.
Fixed on trunk revision 1558396 but no robot message from svn. Because I committed with wrong commit message and I fixed the commit message after the commit.
Thank you hanya
Fixed.
Thank you so much.
What happened to this improvement? AOO 4.5. falls back to the old defaults with no options checked.
I can not confirm your observation. Menu: Data -> Define Range... -> More opens with option 2 and 3 enabled. This has been tested with AOO 4.1.5 and 4.1.6-RC1 on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 16.04.5.
Created attachment 86536 [details] Database Range dialog Options 2 and 3 are enabled by default
(In reply to Andreas Säger from comment #6) > What happened to this improvement? AOO 4.5. falls back to the old defaults > with no options checked. Please give us more information why you reopened this issue. Can someone confirm Andreas' observations?
OK, it works with manually selected cell ranges but fails with import ranges. Drag some database object from the data source window into a sheet. The resulting database link does not have these options checked.
