The input document

When the attached ODT-document is saved in Word 97 and opened in Word 2007, the document starts to flicker while trying to render the tables. The tables are very narrow as well. The document is unusable.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

I was able to replicate this issue in latest production build OOo 3.4.1 on windows 8. I was also able to replicate issue in original reported version OOo 3.3.0 (OOO 330m 20 Build 9567). I used the sample input file used in provided in the report (The Input document)

Here are some details about both replications.

1. OOo Version 3.4.1 (AOO341m1, Build:9593), OS: Windows 8, .doc file opened using Microsoft word 2010.
2. OOo Version 3.3.1 OOo 3.3.0 (OOO 330m 20 Build 9567), OS: Windows XP, .doc file opened using Microsoft word 2010.

Steps to replicate the issue in both versions

1. Open the input file provided in the attachments using OOo writer.
2. Select File>SaveAs 
3. Select Save as type "Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)
4. Enter file name and click save.
5. Select "Keep Current Format" if pop up appears
6. Open .doc file created in step 5 using Microsoft word 2010.

Result: The .doc file is flickering and all tables are distorted.

The File Saved by original reported version 3.3.1 is similar to document attached (The exported document). File exported by newer version 3.4.1 is looking worse and is not readable at all. I am attaching that file as attachment(Attached: Exported_341.doc)

I performed some more testing, I copied some text from the attachment with issue (The input document) and created a new OOo file (Attached: Text From Input Document). I followed the same steps and exported using 3.4.1 it to another file (Attached : Exported Text From Input Document). This exported document when opened using microsoft word 2010 also lost formatting and "?????" is inserted at many places in document, but still is little readable.

Other observations

1. Opening the exported .doc file with OOo writer has no issues.
2. Exporting the file to PDF has no issues. File formatting does not change.
2. Exporting document to other .doc versions available (Word 95 and Word 6.0) has similar issues but exported files look little different.
