Text is allowed to enter outside slide boundary

This issue or enhancement is related Impress presentation software.

1. Opened new blank slide.
2. Under Layouts selected Slide type as "Title, Content"
3. Double clicked on content window.
4. Entered bullet points like 12 bullet points. Impress is to enter bullet points outside SLIDE Margin and save the document. It apears primitive not professional.
5. Impress should either limit(i.e. error out) or re-size the contents like reducing font size etc to fit inside slide Margins or report error instead of allowing user to enter outside slide margin.
6. Microsoft power point re-sizes by reducing font when content text going out of slide window.

NOTE: I tested this on the OOo beta, version 3.4.0, build 9583.

I was able to reproduce this issue, and discovered some related problems as well. Here are the steps I used to reproduce the issue:

1) Opened Impress (both from the OOO-dev menu and the Start menu; no difference observed relating to the issue)
2) Created a new presentation, selecting "From Template", and using the default configuration for the "Introducing a New Product" template.
3) On Slide 2 (labelled "Long-term Goal"), created 13 lines of bulleted text, which extended the text box downward beyond the borders of the slide. It is interesting to note that this behaviour did not extend upward in this particular case.
4) On Slide 3 (labelled "Customer Wishes"), selected the first blank line and held down the enter key to add lines; after a few seconds, the bulleted list not only extended beyond the borders of the slide, it extended beyond the scrolling capacity of the viewer. See screenshot labelled "OOo-Impress-Bullet list off page.jpg", or look at Slide 3 of the file labelled "OOo-Impress-Bullet list issues.odp"

Not sure if the issue I encountered at the end should be a separate bug.

In addition to the above test, I created a new blank presentation, and tried adding multiple lines to a standard slide (ie. one with a Title text box and a topic text box with no bullets). In addition to extending downward, the topic text box extended upward, covering the Title text box. Using 20 lines, I was able to extend the topic text box beyond both the top and bottom borders of the slide. This is demonstrated in the file labelled "OOo-Impress-Text list issue.odp".

I don't see this as a bug (coding error or design error). PowerPoint works the same way.

This is a feature that adds flexibility for handling cases in which there is too much text (e.g. pasted from another source), which must be reduced in size or split across several slides. I take advantage of this feature frequently when I create lecture slides in OOo and in PowerPoint.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

MS office powerpoint can resize font size to limit the text in the border of the slide.
AOo can't resize font size, may enhancement it.
