Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 11690
Cannot post attachments to IssueZilla
Last modified: 2004-10-15 04:28:09 UTC
I cannot post an attachment to any issues in IssueZilla. Specifically, I try to attach a patch file to issue 11688 and my browser will connect to IssueZilla, but IssueZilla will never send a response. This happens in both Mozilla and Internet Explorer.
Changing status to "new".
Changing status as I have patches that cannot be posted to several open IssueZilla issues.
Patrick, Kevin, which browsers do you use? Do you have hints, which might help to track this down? Thanks, Stefan.
Stefan, I have tried the following combination of browsers and OS versions: Browser Mac OS X 10.1 Mac OS X 10.2 ------- ------------- ------------- Mozilla 1.2.1 X X Internet Explorer X X Safari X Note: I could post attachments without any problem using the above browsers until late December, 2002. The problem appears to be that IssueZilla is having trouble reading the POST content. For some reason, it appears (from the browser end) that IssueZilla is trying to read past the end of the POST content and, since there is no more content, IssueZilla is blocking. Patrick
I have more information. I still cannot post attachments when I am accessing IssueZilla via from my domain: planamesa.com. However, I had a friend log in as me and post my attachment from within Sun (i.e. from the sun.com domain) and they had no problem posting. So, I don't think there is anything wrong with my account. However, I would guess that IssueZilla is doing some sort of DNS check and, when I am coming from planamesa.com, the DNS check times out or IssueZilla does not handle the result properly.
I have found that cvs also hangs whenever I try to checkout, update, or commit files using my ssh tunnel (anonymous cvs works fine). Now that I think about it, these problems started when I switched DSL providers. My previous DSL provider used a static IP address and my current provider - SBC Yahoo - uses PPPoE. Could this be the cause of the problem? My current DSL connection resolves to the following DNS name: adsl-67-124-111-87.dsl.snfc21.pacbell.net
How about now ? If it is solved, I think we can close this
Created attachment 9319 [details] This is a test
Added oooqa keyword. I just did a test (using MSIE 5.0 from Mac OS 9.x) - it worked for me, but Patrick should try from his account.
