Description thorsten.martens 2010-04-27 13:15:01 UTC
When using IE8 on WinXP and Active-X Control is installed, a click on a link to
an office document opens the doc in the office and not in IE.
Trying the same with IE8 on Win7 opens the doc in IE but only in the upper half
of the browser. The statusbar is painted in the middle of the browser. Resizing
of IE8 results in strange repaint problems and heavy flickering.
This was reproducible on various mashines.
The same happens when using an older build, like a m13.

The problem on Windows XP is fixed in cws fwk141 now. It is a regression, so it
should be handled as a showstopper I assume.

The problem with the ActiveX control window taking only half of the browser is a
completely different problem and is described in the issue 109039.

Adding keyword regression for the Windows XP issue which is fixed with this issue.
According to MAV the regression has been introduced by 64 Bit fixes we did for
the OOo 3.2 release.

mav->of: Additionally to the test on 32-bit Windows XP system, please test the
fix with 64-bit and 32-bit IE on 64-bit Windows XP.
