Under Linux try

   soffice -show /path/to/some/presentation.odp

* should start presentation mode
* shows nothing than a black sreen

Found this Bug in OOo 3.2 on Ubuntu Linux. Is fine in OOo 3.1.1. Is fine in OOo
3.2 on Windows.
Comment 1 wope 2010-02-28 11:54:46 UTC
also testet on SuSE 11.2 with OOo 3.2 and 3.1.1
Comment 2 wolframgarten 2010-03-08 12:38:32 UTC
Sorry, could not reproduce it here under Fedora and an older Suse (10.1)... Is
this an origianl 3.2 you are using or from some other distributor?
Comment 3 Stefan Weigel 2010-03-09 10:50:38 UTC
@wg: I just tried another time with DEV300m71 on Ubuntu 9.10.

Same result: Start with -show delivers a black screen.

Clicking with the mouse doesn´t do anything. But the first slide will come up,
as soon as I press ENTER on the Keyboard. However this is no workaraound, since
this is an automatic presentation with automatic slide transition, that should
start by itself.

Additionally I found out, that this bug does not occur, when OOo is already running.

Hi Wope,

unfortunately i'm unable to reproduce this issue - i tried different
programversions (OOo 3.2 vanilla 64 bit, SO 9.2 32 Bit and even the 3.1 that
comes with Jaunty prebundled does not the misbehavior.
Comment 5 Stefan Weigel 2010-03-09 13:10:37 UTC
@jsk, did you make sure that no OOo process is running on your system, prior to
starting with -show?

@jsk, please don´t set the issue to WORKSFORME unless you have not tried with
platform and version on which others did confirm the issue.

The issue has been reported/confirmed for
* OOo 3.2 (vanilla) on Ubuntu 8.04 (LTS)
* OOo 3.2 (vanilla) on SuSE 11.2
* DEV300m71 on Ubuntu 9.10

Thanks for stating, that you didn´t find a problem with OOo 3.1. That´s why this
issue has already been classified as a regression.

Urps, my fingers are a little fast for my brain at times. I was refrring to
Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) not Jaunty. So i indeed tested on an OS where the issue is
claimed to happen.

Do you use desktop effects?
Comment 7 Stefan Weigel 2010-03-09 15:16:36 UTC
I tried with Visual Effects "normal" and "none". Still the same.

I can not reproduce this bug with a DEV300 m99 office on Ubuntu 10.10 (whatever funny name that is.)

@wg,all: Can somebody reproduce this on a recent DEV300?
Comment 15 wolframgarten 2011-03-30 08:50:45 UTC
Works without problems in DEV300_m104.
