Description Andrea Pescetti 2010-01-21 14:23:36 UTC
In Writer, File - Save as - Text Encoded has a checkbox named "Edit filter
settings". In 3.1.1 this triggers a dialog with the ASCII filter options
(encoding and CR/LF options), in 3.2.0-RC2 it seems to have no effect.

To reproduce:
1) Create a new Writer document, type "test"
2) File - Save As, choose "Text Encoded" as format
3) When saving, enable the checkbox "Edit filter settings"

Expected: You see the filter options dialog and can choose encoding and CR/LF
settings.

Actual: The dialog is not shown.

Cannot reproduce this with 3.2.0rc3 (OOO320m10), checked on Windows and Linux.
Please try out with this newer release. BTW: on which platform do you run OOo?

Hello Andrea, *,
I have tested it with OOO320m10 and it works for me (means: I cannot confirm
your issue, sorry ... :( ).
My environment:
- Debian SID AMD64
- KDE 4.3.4-1
- Germanophone OOO320m10 install set.

As mru has asked before: Which OS/architecture are you using?

HTH
Thomas.

The person who reported this in the Italian community says this happened with
3.2RC2 on Linux 64bit (unclear if the 32bit or the 64bit version).

However, I cannot reproduce it now with RC3 and, based on the other comments
too, I'm marking this issue WORKSFORME.
