Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 108392
WYSIWYG formula editing
Last modified: 2010-01-17 13:36:53 UTC
There should be an option of typing math equations without TeX knowledge. Just "/" keystroke means fraction, "^" key means superscript, and you should see the fraction and small text at the top, not these symbols. Something like "Alt + S" for sum, "Alt + I" for integral, and mouse should be able to make selections of parts of formulas, cut them, etc.
