Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 106530
Impress: improper display of very thin lines in presentation mode (thin lines)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:11:30 UTC
This behavior occured with the latest OO version 3.1.1 on Ubuntu Linux 9.10 (OOo310m19 build: 9420 in openoffice.org-core1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 ) Here is how to reproduce it: * create a new Impress presentation * use the square tool (button on left side) to draw a rectangle onto the first slide * change the background color to None (i.e. transparent) * change the line width to 0.02cm (i.e. very thin) * on the normal layout everything looks fine until now :) * now change to the presentation mode (full screen display) * here the rectangle gets displayed as only some lines :( (in most cases 1, 2 or 3 lines are display, depends on position of rectangle) This misbehavior does NOT happen with the same document using OO3.1.1 under WinXP. I will attach a small sample document for quicker reproduction of this misbehavior.
Created attachment 65830 [details] small presentation document to show this rectangle display behavior
NOT reproducible with "RectangleBug.odp" and "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE-multilingual version German UI activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"! Reproducible after I reduced line width to 0,05mmm for all lines (not only rectangle) On my PC switching on / off hardware acceleration had an influence, but switch off did not heal the problem: Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Bit 3500+ Monitor : 1024*768 OS: WIN XP SP3 It seems that anti aliasing causes the problem. I added an additional obfect with 1mm line width, and I only see a difference between with and without anti aliasing in Presentation edit mode, but not during the show, there aa seems to be always active. No problem with 2.4.1

Reproducible. Reassigned.
Ubuntu 9.10: This still happens with OO 3.2.0. (final release version from OOo website) Win XP: I cannot reproduce this bug any more, now, with OO 3.2.0 (final release version)
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
