If you insert an object in a odt file and export it to pdf, the object is not
attached in pdf.

Opening the document in Writer shows a frame containing the mention "Acrobat
Document".
It means that we cannot display the embedded PDF (though we can open it on
double click) because it has no preview image or we cannot show this image.
Therefore, the export sees nothing and the object doesn't appear in exported PDF.

I tend to say INVALID (Writer cannot invent the preview Acrobat doesn't provide).
Maybe there is a real bug (we don't show a preview which is embedded).

@HI: please give a statement.

I don't say that Acrobad must show the preview. I say that the object should
appear as an attachment in Acrobad.

Not defect, works as designed.
You can see the pdf export as an alternative to printing. Not more not less.
