Description pmladek 2009-10-05 19:10:33 UTC
The "Decrease Indent" button moves the text even below the left boundary. You
might even lost the text and cursor from view.

The "Increase Indent" button behaves more reasonable and stops moving the text
by the right boundary.

Would be possible to improve the "Decrease Indent" button behavior?

This is a feature used in MS Word which we support for import/export reasons.

I am not able to decrease the indentation below the left margin in MS Word 2007
(using the decrease indentation button).

Also there is a difference whether OOo allows to load documents with such
strange indentation and whether it allows to create such strange indentation.

I think that we really should add there a check when the "Decrease indentation"
button is pressed.

I am sorry, I still think that it is a bug => reopening.

No, this is definitely NOT a bug. It is intended to allow negative indent via
"decrease" button.
It is possible to set it via Format.Paragraph dialog and so it is allowed via
button. We want to be more consistent than MS.

closed, this behavior wont be changed.
