Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 103298
Impress: Arrows with two heads displayed wrongly
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:08:20 UTC
This is how to reproduce the wrong behavior: 1. Create an empty Impress Document (happened with OO 3.1.0) 2. Draw an arrow with the arrow button from the drawing button bar 3. Add an arrow head to the second end of the arrow with the arrow head pulldown button. Choose the topmost arrow head type, which is identical to the first arrow head created with the arrow button itself. 4. Increase the linewidht to 0.1cm or 0.2cm 5. Now look at the displayed arrow: It has to arrow heads of different size! Remarks: - The two arrow heads alway have a different size. It is just more clearly visible if you increase the linewidht a bit. - The tow arrow heads are really of the same type. To make sure you can set both to the same (topmost) type with the arrow head pull down button. I know that there is a workaround. I can just use a different button from the drawing buttons to create a two-headed arrow at once. Still it is an annoying bug since it keeps me from changing the appearence of a line / arrow in a presentation after the initial creation.
Use the Line dialog from format menu or context menu. Nevertheless the default of the predefined arrow should be the same as the default from the drop-down-list. But for me it seems a P4 bug, "Bugs that are easy to workaround".
Reproducible. Reassigned.
@regina: This is not only about a wrongly defined default value for the arrow button. The arrow head of arrows created with this arrow button cannot be reproduced with ANY choice of the many diffent arrow heads offered in the arrow head pull-down menu. PS: When I look at the definition of the priorities, this bug would be a P3, since it is "Functionality which is not available, but a workaround exists; e.g. you cannot apply formattings to your text via the toolbar, but only using the menu". Arrows and lines are not a minor but a major feature of a presention program (that's why there are so many buttons to create them).
Setting target to OOo 3.3.
This still happens with OO 3.2.0. (final release version)
