Description robert.kinsella 2002-12-20 11:26:54 UTC
OpenOffice.org 1.0.2, RedHat 6.2

Using File, Document converter, convert a type *.sdd file. The file is converted
to a type *.sxi file. The converted file (type sxi) cannot be opened bu
OpenOffice.org, instead OpenOffice.org crashes.

Comment 3 robert.kinsella 2002-12-20 11:30:24 UTC
Attached balken.sdd, the file to use in the converstion and
balken.sxi, the converted file which when opened causes OpenOffice.org
to crash.

Reassigned to Christian.
Comment 5 robert.kinsella 2002-12-20 13:26:17 UTC
Similar problem on Windows 2000, when user attempts to open balke.sxi,
the window it is about to open in dies, no error message is given.
Comment 6 christian.guenther 2003-01-08 16:35:38 UTC
I can reproduce the bug
Comment 7 clippka 2003-01-09 16:40:15 UTC
this seems to be the problem fixed by the ibis bug #101323#.

A negative visual area is read from the sdd file and causes the
document to enter a not working state causing a gpf later. This is
already fixed in sd/source/ui/unoidl/unomodel.cxx 1.49

Will add the fix to OOo 1.0.2 tommorow morning
Comment 8 Martin Hollmichel 2003-01-09 16:56:34 UTC
applied diff 1.48 1.49 to OOO_STABLE_1, cl please verify.

-> new rev. 1.40.2.1 created.
Comment 9 clippka 2003-01-10 16:08:44 UTC
added missing fix in xml/xmloff/source/draw/sdxmlimp.cxx r 1.34.2.1
Comment 10 sander_traveling 2003-01-13 15:57:44 UTC
applied both updates and rebuilt, but the bug & crash still appears to
be there. There is now a new installation set
(OOo_1.0.2c_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz) with both changes on blossom .
Comment 11 clippka 2003-01-14 09:37:48 UTC
will need a 1.0.2 build, preferable windows, to debug this. Sander,
you 100% sure you have both fixes included in the installation set? I
can't reproduce the bug with my fixes on a local hamburg build src641
Comment 12 Martin Hollmichel 2003-01-14 10:37:51 UTC
hi, I tested this on my solaris build:

* load balken.sdd
* save as sxi
* load the sxi -> works

* load attached balken.sxi crash.

I think the original issue can be considered as fixed, we might open a
new issue for fixing the load of the corrupt file.
Comment 13 clippka 2003-01-15 07:41:31 UTC
thanks to martins OOo 1.0.2 solaris build, I could track down the last
missing fix.

/graphics/sd/source/ui/unoidl/unopage.cxx r 1.46.2.1 will do it
Comment 14 clippka 2003-01-23 13:14:57 UTC

Comment 17 robert.kinsella 2003-01-23 13:58:56 UTC
This issue was tested as part of Shakedown testing for 1.0.2,
nevertheless conifmed that the bug is fixed on Windows 2000, Solaris
sparc9 and Linux RH6.2
Leaving issue as resolved fixed
Comment 18 christian.guenther 2003-03-06 09:47:56 UTC
I verified the fix only on Linux and windows but according to the
comment of rkinsella the bug was verified on all OS.
I close the bug.
