Description Unknown 2002-12-18 21:17:32 UTC
The main problem is that Office and Writer both freeze and must be killed
immediately after startup. The program presents an "unrecoverable error..."
dialog. The program then stops responding.

Incidentally, the programs take a long time to start up. The OS presents a
dialog saying that they fail to respond to SaveYourself. I do not know if this
is related, but I thought it worth mentioning.

Also, my install was less than perfect. I ran install as root, then setup -net
as root, but could not successfully run setup as a user. Doing so merely started
up the install program, which said that OOo was already installed and gave no
other options. So either the README is wrong, or the setup program is wrong or
both.

This occured on a x86 machine, Redhat Linux 6.2.

You should:
- make a -net installation as root first,
- log in as user and start a workstation installation from this -net
location
That's what is described in the setup guide.
