Description mjerryfuerst 2009-05-03 17:47:02 UTC
I am trying to print several pages of mailing labels from a spreadsheet to an
Avery 5260 sheet.

Following the directions in the on-line help under "Printing Address labels,"
steps 7-9 results in every other record, rather than every record being printed.
Once one figures that out (from reading the online forums), then there is no
easy way to eliminate the extra "Next Record" code. If one tries View->Field
Names, one cannot see the spot in the label where the extra "Next Record" code is.

I raised this issue on the Community forums, and another user confirmed the problem
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18272

One possible solution would be an option to display an editable pop-up window
containing all the field and special codes on the label. This could be
activated by double clicking in the first label of the sheet while holding
down the CTRL or another key

This also is INVALID as Issue 101501, filed by reporter concerning his problems
with address labels.

@mjerryfuerst:
Please discuss your problems in an user mailing list or forum. Your link does
not show that there is a real OOo problem, only that someone other does not
understand how to use OOo for his needs. If you write a useful description in
<user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/> I will try to find a solution for your
needs. You have to describe the result you need, not the wrong way how you tried
to reach that (still unknown) result. Such a description could look like "I need
Address labels on Avery 5260 sheet for 125 different addresses, 3 labels for
each address, a source database document you can download from http://www..."
