Debug and find out the issues surrounding spadmin crashes and Font discovery.

1)  Usually crashes in readdir_r() either on startup or when hitting the
Fonts... button
2)  Need to figure out whether we are using the system's (on 10.2 at least)
readdir_r() or Dan's implementation (because readdir_r() doesn't exist on 10.1).
 Dan's implementation may not be bug-proof (now there's a thought :)
