Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 101320
Partial Conversion of Presentation document to HTML in Linux using OO APIs
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:20:06 UTC
Kindly refer to the below forum post http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=82138 When exporting some of the presentation documents to HTML using OO APIs, part of the slide turns black or no content displayed. This issue can only be found when using OO3 in Linux, whereas in Windows the same conversion works properly. Kindly check with the below snap shots http://picasaweb.google.com/eusabiaroseline/OpenOffice?feat=directlink
Lowering priority - please have a look at http://qa.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority . Thanks. The screenshots seem to not fit to the presentation file from the forum post, or did I miss something?
The presentation file in the forum is not mine. I quoted that post as an example to the issue I face. Thanks.
I'm having the same problem while running openoffice headless using jodconverter. ppt to html conversion is having black strips. But the same ppt to pdf conversion is working well. I tried the conversion using PyODconverter which is blackening the same set of slides. When I removed clip-arts from some slides, a proper jpg was obtained after conversion but in most cases i couldnt find the reason why it is not getting converted into proper images.
Created attachment 61839 [details] this ppt when converted to html is having partially or completely blackened jpgs in slides 6,17,18,19,20, 21,25,27,28,29,30,33
Created attachment 61840 [details] slides 3,9,10,11,12,14,15 of this ppt produced partially or completely darkened images when exported to html in headless openoffice
is there any other method to convert all ppt slides to jpg running openoffice headless other than converting to html..
Is this still reproducible with a current OOO310 build (m9, m10)?
The issue is still reproducible with the latest OOO300_m15_native_packed-1_en-US.9379 build too.
OOO300-m15 is the latest official release (3.0.1). Is there any experience with the OOO310 codeline (which will be the soon coming 3.1 release) ? Anyone tested this problem with the RC candidates?
Not yet tested it with OOO310.
I have tested in openoffice3.same problem there
Do you mean you have tested it in 3.1? Typo? Ok. Reassigned to aw. CL asked me to do that.
AW->WG: Could You check this one on current OOo 3.1 please and report back?
No, sorry, I can't as I don't know how to deal with the API. As this issue is reported in 3.0 I think that the last posting of nomad07 contains a typo: I'm sure he meant 3.1. Didn't you , nomad07?
I tested this issue with the following releases and could find the issue still reproducible. OOO300_m15_native_packed-1_en-US.9379(OOo_3.0.1_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz) OOO310_m11_native_packed-4_en-US.9399(OOo_3.1.0rc2_20090427_LinuxIntel_install_en-US.tar.gz) Thanks, Eusabia
@wg ya ..I meant 3.1
Thanks for adding this. Reassigned.
AW->OD: Problem occurrs in SwFEShell::SetChainMarker() where pFly->Frm().Pos() gives a result of (2147463647, 2147463647). Creating a hatched line with such a length has no choice than creating a LOT of segments when decomposing. To reproduce, do not zoom out of the loaded document (like i did; it works when all three pages are visible).
?
I think AW put his comment into the wrong issue - this comment was for issue 101209. Thus, I assign this issue back to AW. Please ignore AW's comment from 2009-06-22
AW->OD, nomad07: exactly, please ignore last comment...
AW: Taking a look on Win32 first. All works okay (used the 1st attached file).
AW: Tried with CWS aw075 (DEV300 m52) on unxlngi6.pro now (Linux build), works well. Cannot reproduce. AW->nomad07: Not in DEV300 m52, also i remember that there were some fixes for headless under Linux where PL was involved (bitmap stuff when no real displaying layer, fallback to some OpenSource bitmap tooling). Probably fixed. Could You please try with a latest developer build (at leasr DEV300 m52)..?
Im having the same issue of half rendered images when exporting to html. Black on the rendered image. Have reproduced in many ppt files. Using CentOS and open office 3.1. Has this issue been resolved?
